Prophet Jones Makes a Majestic Debut
By Charles 'C-Jack' Jackson
Prophet Jones is ready to take on the world.
After listening to the quartet's debut CD-at lest four times in a row-I've concluded that these cats will definitely be making some serious waves in the industry. But, the first time I listened to their CD, one track threw me for a loop. Let me explain. As soon as I got the CD, I put it in my stereo system. I was feelin' everything right away-oh yeah, I was like 'these cats got it goin' on'-but when it hit this one track, I thought for sure that somehow my multi-CD player had skipped over to another of my CDs that had a variety of old school love songs. That wasn't the case.
I checked my CD player and realized that nothing skipped. It was still on the same CD and everything was in order. It reached track 10 and Prophet Jones did the unexpected. They fooled me. When I heard their rendition of the O'Jays "Cry Together," I actually thought I was listening to the original. I knew then that the talented men that make up Prophet Jones, were destined to make their mark in the music world. They have a little something for everyone.
